Calligraphy for Pernod Ricard
Handwriting precise inscriptions on round, slippery glass bottles with limited space for expression is no small feat! Pernod Ricard approached me to develop a concept for unique bottle handwriting that could elevate bottles into personalized gifts. Each type of liquid comes with its own distinctive bottle shape, color palette, and atmosphere, inspiring me to create tailored inscriptions for each brand.
For every label, I designed lettering that harmonizes with its existing design. To push the creative boundaries, I experimented with wax seals or elegant calligraphy on ribbons that tie around whiskey bottles, and intricate gold or silver script with swashes for champagne and cognac. Other brands feature a mix of styles and colors that perfectly complement their label aesthetics. Each approach adds a personal and bespoke touch, making the bottles stand out as thoughtful and memorable gifts.
