Adelle Ötztal Scribble
The renowned holiday destination, Ötztal Valley in the Austrian Alps, underwent a comprehensive brand overhaul, including a customized adaptation of TypeTogether’s Adelle serif and sans font family (read more at TT Blog).
In 2023, the branding expanded to include an extension for kids’ slopes. The task was to design a “kid-friendly” version of the Adelle headline font—a playful, simple, and highly readable script. By redrawing over Adelle’s skeleton, a mono-linear script emerged, featuring soft slab serifs and rounded exit strokes. Few adjustments were made to specific glyphs for improved readability at smaller sizes. The result, Adelle Ötztal Scribble, is a vibrant and joyful typeface now found at Sölden Ski School and across Ötztal slopes!
